Do you dream of a career working in sport?

Tasmania is home to a burgeoning sports industry, from brands representing the Map on a national and global stage, to grassroot clubs that make our communities tick.

In a first of its kind in Australia, in collaboration with TasTAFE, a coalition of the State’s biggest sports are uniting to establish a dedicated pathway for local and aspiring sports administration, game development, coaching, and leadership talent.

This tailored diploma level sport and leadership education program provides Tasmanians a platform to gain the skills, knowledge and experience to gain employment in the State’s growing sports sector.  Participating students will select a preferred industry stream from our network, attend two days a week of face-to-face coursework at a dedicated facility in Hobart, with regular guest speakers and workshops led by industry experts from across the State. The program is planned to expand to the North and North-West in 2026.

On top of the contextualised curriculum, the program provides a unique opportunity for learners to bring the class theory to life with 100 hours of structured work placement within the business of their select partner stream. Supercharge your resume with hands-on experience across all elements of sport, including game development, sports administration, marketing, coaching and events.
